When purchasing for eggs, take into account that “cage-free” and “pasture-raised” are two completely different phrases. Based on Important Farms, a number one producer of pasture-raised eggs, cage-free hens have about 1 sq. foot per chicken with little or no entry to the outside. Then again, pasture-raised hens have 108 sq. ft per hen and the chance to stroll exterior every time they please.
So for probably the most moral selection, and in case your price range permits, at all times go for pasture-raised.
